Each piece was individually hand sewn onto a metal frame with coordinating colored thread to create the shape you see

I used my own abstract weaving technique throughout in a combination of different widths and colors of felted wool

The Olive Wood frame is a "seconds" quality meaning it may have some extra character (dents or nooks and crannies, cracks, chips, discoloration, holes, etc.) but to me it only adds to the charm and is part of the magic of reusing! These bowls are handmade in Turkey (Turkiye) from Olive Wood which do not require a tree to be cut, instead the wood is collected from the pruning
