it was fun chasing the vines for interesting shadow patterns

Robert was off in the distance far enough away but close enough to keep an eye on me and my surroundings for bears and such

So rich in history and beauty that at every turn I couldn’t help but be amazed and full of wonder about this area’s past

We wanted to be away from the crowds and be out where we could take in the views and, specifically, to be able to see the sun touch the hills in the evening and, as captured here, in the early morning. Looking at this painting, I am transported instantly to that morning when I set out (earlier than normal for me) so that I could capture in paint a magical moment in time. 8
