Our 2010 vintage was selected as one of only 3 SA Merlots to be served by SAA. SA climate is not conducive to producing good Merlot, it is too warm. Rainbows End with its high lying slopes has lower temperatures on average, correcting the problem. Merlot is planted 550m above sea level on our highest slopes.
