Not a tin we come across very often
The sleeves are ever so slightly yellowed
It is missing several pieces and some pieces have lost their colored trim - it is fairly common for it to come off of these chess pieces
but not too bad
1942 Affe Tornister ID248 WWI Not a tin we comeVery nice lightly used 1942 dated tornister or Affe (ape). The leather is all still very soft and usable. The cloth retains its color and is pretty clean over all. One inside button was replaced with a GI button which combined with the somewhat unusual soldiers information written on the one tab makes me think that this was most likely a POWs pack. It was probably in the USA while the war was still raging.
