“The Old Jar Pottery” South African Art Pottery Vase – Hand Thrown & Decorated Silver & Metalware Both have slight plate lossThis rare vase was hand thrown and decorated by South African Studio Art Pottery The Old Jar Pottery which existed in Benoni and closed down in 1984, but had apparently already ceased most manufacturing by 1983. Their characteristic and unique decoration of hand thrown pieces encapsulated a turquoise colour along with white used primarily as the predominant colours and then additional patterns added with black, mocha, tan and sky blue.
