1936 French Mess Kit leather Either situation is plausibleNice original French M35 mess kit dated 1936, complete with the insert. French mess kits were frequently issued to various second line units of the Wehrmacht and I have seen them in use with the RAD and other organizations. Marked "De Pruines 1936 Plombires" on the bottom.
