Walnut Street Twilight Beige I have to admit

Description

I have to admit

and old architecture along 9th Avenue

I enjoy visiting the park during summer evenings because there are some wonderful vantage points to enjoy sunsets like this

>> This painting is the initial study for Autumn Cove

Walnut Street Twilight Beige I have to admitA mild afternoon gives way to early evening looking east along Walnut Street in Center City Philadelphia. The whole catalyst for this painting was the subtle gradation of pinks, purples, and blues in the sky behind the tall buildings, punctuated by manmade lights below. I love it when Mother Nature and mankind harmonize.
