Pleurothallis sphaerantha Pescatoria The metallic coloration and uniqueA miniature epiphyte endemic to the cloud forests of Ecuador, where the contrast between plant and flower is part of its charm. The large, glaucous, fleshy leaves dwarf the tiny globose bloom that emerges on a slender erect peduncle from between them a deep black purple sphere, finely papillose and tightly closed, that belies its minuscule size with remarkable presence. Light: Bright indirect light with 5070% shade cloth; avoid direct sun exposure.
