German Lucky Chimney Sweep Bracelet 835 Silver vsale 34 mortar Gebirgsjäger ice baseplateVintage German chimney sweep good luck charm bracelet. The charm is marked 835 silver. It is in good condition with light wear. It seems to be a small size (see photos). A bit of history: the chimney sweep brings good luck in Germany for pragmatic reasons: when the chimney was stopped up, the man in black had to be called in to clear the flue so you could finally cook your food again. A clean sweep also reduced the risk of setting the house on fire.
