Lourens Family Howard John 2024 Scotch Palate: A powerfully salty mouthfeelDESCRIPTION A tribute to Franco Lourens father, this Swartland red blend brings together Grenache noir (42%), Cinsault (29%), and Syrah (29%, SH99 clone from an echalas vineyard). Dryland bush vines and high density plantings provide fruit of natural intensity. Fermented with 40% whole clusters and handled with light extraction, the wine was matured for 10 months in neutral 300L and 500L barrels before being bottled un fined and coarsely filtered.
