It measures about 3 3/8" by 2 3/4" This would be good to refill with Maggi's soup cubes (sometimes found in the Mexican section at the grocery store)

The bottom button is slightly loose and should be restiitched

I would say it is likely very late 1944 or even 1945 given the amount of cut backs in manufacturing
