I wanted to give this reel a fair shake at impressing me (or not)
I recommend learning with either a 3/8oz or 1/2oz jig
If you don't have the reel, contact Don Iovino and see what's coming off his bench
I accidentally foul-hooked a massive drum with a 6-pound leader, and the drag on the reel protected my light line, allowing me to land the fish rather than break off
