I took this rod to Zambia for tigerfish, where it performed admirably with a baitcasting reel, and then used it at home to skip Senkos under docks with a spinning rod
The lack of stretch also helps drive the hook home when a red strikes at the end of a long cast
Rod features: - Powerlux 100 resin system - Ergonomic Abu designed reel seat - ROCS (Robotically Optimized Casting System) Guide train - Stainless Steel guides with ultra-light Zirconium inserts - Split EVA foam grip Reel features: - 10 stainless steel ball bearings + 1 roller bearing - Lightweight aluminum frame - Rocket line management and spool design - Machined aluminum braid ready spool - Stainless steel main shaft and components - AMGearing machined gear system
The rod for 54.99 is very well built and actually surpassed my expectations in sensitivity and feel, not to mention has seemed to hold up very well to being on my kayak and sort of treated rough by my standards
