(We even took this reel into saltwater and managed striped bass in the 20-pound range without any trouble at all, though if you do the same, we highly recommend not only carefully washing but also occasionally opening, cleaning, and air-drying this reel.) It doesnt offer nearly the same durability as our top pick and runner-up do, however, and in larger sizes the price difference between it and those models is too negligible for most people not to invest just a little more for something offering much more longevity
It has a flexible but tough EVA drop bottom that lets you compartmentalize your stuff, burly skate wheels that glide effortlessly, and a soft but durable front to keep the weight down (8.7 pounds for a bag that holds 96 liters)
