My son is going to be nine years old this spring and I will get him an Abu Garcia 5500, all good fishermen's must start with a round-reel and then develop their skills from there
Install the spring and bail plate/bail on the opposite side
What you need To start, you should use a clean towel or cloth to wipe down the reel of any dust and dirt
I have zero doubts that itll be able to handle 20+ pound fish and the big lures and baits it takes to catch em
