The GLF offers a ton of performance for the dollar and, after using it all this year, has become one of my top recommendations for affordable, inshore casting rods
With a 6.1:1 retrieve ratio, the 153H is not as fast as some bait-casters, but it still wraps the line onto the spool at a rate of 28 inches (71cm) for every turn of the twin-paddle handle
The Mach 2 reel features a smooth 10-bearing system with Zero-Reverse one-way clutch bearing and a durable graphite frame and side plates
The reel has an adjustable centrifugal braking system to help with backlashes, and it has a fast 7.2:1 gear ratio for quick line pickup, so I think it works well
